Settings

In Cline’s settings:

1. Set API Provider to OpenAI Compatible.
2. Set Base URL to https://api.thetoken.dev/v1.
3. Set API Key to your TOKEN key (tkn_...).
4. Set Model ID to a TOKEN model ID, for example zai-org/glm-5.3.

Cline’s model settings for this provider also let you enter the model’s context window, maximum output and image support. Take them from the model’s page on the models page (for example, turn image support on only for models with image input, such as zai-org/glm-5.3-flash).

Choosing a model

Cline works in long agent loops with many tool calls. Use a model that is good at it: moonshotai/kimi-k3, zai-org/glm-5.3 or deepseek/deepseek-v4-pro. For cheaper runs, try zai-org/glm-5.3-flash or deepseek/deepseek-v4.1-flash.

Good to know

• Each Cline step resends the conversation, so long tasks use many input tokens. Give the key a spending limit (console → API Keys) and check Usage Logs after the first tasks.
• If a task stops with a 403 about the balance, top up or raise the key’s limit; see Errors and rate limits.
